Compatibility uses the Day pillar, so birth time is not needed. Dates are taken as calendar dates at the place of birth.

How BaZi compatibility works

The basic method compares the two Day Masters (the stems of your days of birth) through the five elements. A yin-yang Stem Combination is considered the strongest bond, followed by the productive cycle (one nourishes the other), the same element, and the controlling cycle. Day-branch combinations strengthen the bond, while a clash adds friction.
